Beaver Ecology in a Settled Landscape: A Pragmatic Approach

Join us on July 16th, 2025 at Noon for this month’s installment of the Land and Wildlife Speaker Series featuring Joshua Tabora from the Maryland Wildlife and Heritage Service. This month’s webinar topic will be beaver ecology in a settled landscape.

Beavers are a potent ecological force that shape riparian species composition, hydrology, and biodiversity.  This influence manifests in both welcomed and unwelcomed ways- join in as a DNR biologist discusses the benefits, heartburn and lessons learned from living aside Maryland's largest aquatic rodent.  Joshua Tabora has served as the furbearer biologist for the Maryland Wildlife and Heritage Service since 2020 and resides in Allegany county.
